Seetha Devi Balika Vidyalaya, Kandy and Sangamitta Balika Vidyalaya Matale emerged joint girls champions while Kingswood College, Kandy and Joseph Vaz College Wennappuwa became boys joint champions at the all island schools under 15 boys and girls hockey championship organized by the Sri Lanka Hockey Federation and played at the Panadura Esplanade on Friday and Saturday.

Kalutara Balika Reign Supreme In Netball

The Kalutara Balika National School Netball Team under 12, 14, 16 and 18 continues to be district champions for the last 22 years in their Kalutara District Inter School Netball Tournament. This tournament was held on July 14, 2012 at the Kalutara Balika National School ground, sponsored by Milo and the event was organized by Sri Lanka Schools Netball Federation and conducted by the International Federation of Netball Associations.
