Isipathana College, Colombo will be favourites to beat St. Peter’s College, Bambalapitiya when they meet in the first semi-final match of the President Trophy Knockout Rugby Tournament which is set to be played in at Royal Complex in Reid Avenue, Colombo today (2).Isipathana who went unbeaten in the league tournament will look to win a double of titles this season as they are in great form as a team.Led by centre Kushan Indunil, the Havelock Town team has beaten some top schools this season. Schools k/o Rugby Likely To Be Postponed

The Schools’ President’s Trophy knockout rugby tournament is likely to be postponed as most of the teams are down with injuries. A decision to this effect will be taken at the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association meeting scheduled for today.

Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia will battle it out for supremacy as the two unbeaten teams for this year’s Singer inter-school Division -1 league rugby championship which will take place on Saturday (June 18) at CR & FC grounds, Longden Place.By the look of it defending league runner-up Isipathana go out as firm favourites to lift the title.
